CATL has introduced the Tectrans II light commercial vehicle battery, which boasts an 8C peak charging rate, allowing it to reach 80% charge in under seven minutes. This development aims to address key issues faced by electric LCVs, such as slow charging and
short battery life. The battery's design includes reduced internal resistance and advanced graphite particle structuring to enhance performance and longevity. CATL is also launching Choco swap stations to support this technology, with plans to expand across China and into Europe through a partnership with Octopus Energy.
