AFI KLM E&M and AerCap have formalized a joint venture to address asset availability constraints for CFM International Leap engines. This partnership, initially outlined in a memorandum of understanding at the Paris Air Show in June 2025, aims to provide
spare engine support for Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The joint venture will begin by acquiring 40 new CFM Leap-1A and Leap-1B spare engines, with the first four expected to be available by early 2027. This initiative is designed to ensure that operators have access to replacement engines while their own are under maintenance.
