Apex Clean Energy, a Virginia-based company, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with technology giant Meta. This agreement grants Meta exclusive rights to the energy and all renewable energy credits
from the Starling Solar project, located in Gonzales County, Texas. The 144-MW project is expected to add new generation capacity to the local grid that would not have been built without Meta's commitment. This marks the seventh transaction between Apex and Meta, bringing their combined portfolio across Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Kansas, and Iowa to approximately 1,200 MW. The Starling Solar project is anticipated to begin commercial operations in 2027.
