Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG) is launching a new series, 'Lucky Dog: Paws with Purpose,' set to premiere on CBS on October 3. Hosted by Emmy® Award-winning animal trainer Brandon McMillan, the show will focus on pairing shelter dogs with U.S. military
veterans and their families to provide comfort, companionship, and stability. The premiere will feature stories such as Peaches, a mixed-breed dog matched with an Air Force veteran and her son, and Steve, a playful poodle considered for a Marine Corps veteran and her daughter. The series will also introduce Smoky, a certified therapy dog and USAA’s new K9 ambassador, alongside her handler, Chris, an Air Force Reservist. This new program will lead a full hour of 'Lucky Dog' programming, immediately followed by the second season premiere of 'Lucky Dog: Down Under,' also hosted by McMillan.
