What's Happening?
The Delfina Foundation has issued an open call for contemporary visual artists from Portugal and Portuguese-speaking African countries to apply for a fully funded summer residency in London. This twelve-week program, scheduled from June 28 to September
17, 2027, aims to foster artistic development, international exchange, research, and professional engagement. Selected artists will participate in a structured program that includes guided visits to museums and galleries, studio visits, presentations, and networking opportunities with professionals in the visual arts sector. The residency package covers return economy-class flights, UK airport transfers, visa fee reimbursements, a daily living allowance of £40, a materials budget of £1,200, a London public transport pass, and accommodation in a single bedroom at the Delfina Foundation’s shared house. Applicants must be born in Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, or São Tomé and Príncipe, not currently be based in the UK, be proficient in English, and demonstrate how the residency will benefit their career and professional networks.
