NVIDIA has announced a partnership with SB Energy to secure 'land, power, and shell' (LPS) capacity at the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus in Portsmouth, Ohio. This strategic move aims to host NVIDIA compute resources, with OpenAI designated as the tenant
for this facility. NVIDIA views AI factories as the foundational infrastructure of the AI era, transforming energy and data into intelligence. The company emphasizes that securing LPS is becoming a critical constraint for AI factory deployment. The initial deployment at PORTS-Pike is projected to provide 4.25 gigawatts of AI factory capacity, potentially accommodating approximately 1.5 million NVIDIA GPUs per generation, representing an estimated $150 billion to $200 billion in NVIDIA revenue over 20 years.
