Shennon Biotechnologies, a biotechnology company focused on developing precision immunotherapies for cancer, has announced it raised $12 million in new financing, bringing its total funding to $25 million. The funding round included investments from Future
Ventures, NextGen Venture Partners, Samos Investments, Atypical Ventures, and Saras Capital, with continued support from existing investors. Concurrently, the company has appointed Cyril Konto, M.D., a biotechnology industry veteran, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Founder and former CEO Li Sun, Ph.D., will transition to President and Chief Technology Officer, continuing to lead scientific strategy and innovation. The new capital will support the ongoing development of ShennonBio’s integrated technology platform and advance its emerging oncology pipeline, which currently features three T-cell engager (TCE) programs targeting small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Over the next two years, ShennonBio aims to advance a development candidate toward an Investigational New Drug (IND) filing and Phase 1 clinical development. Additionally, the company plans to pursue licensing opportunities for selected therapeutic programs and explore partnerships around its platform capabilities, including binder prediction, clinical toxicity prediction, and its proprietary datasets. This strategic roadmap indicates a clear path toward bringing novel cancer therapies to patients.
