LinkedIn users have reported more than one million instances of 'AI slop' using a newly introduced reporting button within a three-week period since its launch at the end of July. Hari Srinivasan, LinkedIn’s chief product officer, stated that posts identified
as AI-generated are experiencing approximately 40 percent fewer views compared to before the button's implementation. While no single piece of feedback dictates a post's distribution, a range of signals are used. Users will also begin receiving messages in their analytics dashboards to understand how their posts are being received, including feedback on perceived AI usage.
