What's Happening?
Refined Energy Corp. has announced the completion of its Winter 2026 drill program at the Dufferin West Property in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin. The program, which involved drilling three holes totaling 975 meters, aimed to test targets identified
through geophysical surveys. Two of the drill holes successfully intersected the Athabasca unconformity, providing valuable geological and geochemical data. The program was completed on budget at approximately $1.7 million. The results included weakly anomalous uranium values, with the highest assay returning 5 ppm uranium. This data will assist in the ongoing evaluation of the property.
Why It's Important?
The successful completion of the drill program at Dufferin West is significant for Refined Energy as it provides critical data for future exploration and development decisions. The Athabasca Basin is known for its rich uranium deposits, and positive results could enhance the company's prospects in the region. This development is also important for the broader energy sector, as it could contribute to the supply of uranium, a key component in nuclear energy production. The findings may attract further investment and interest in the region, potentially boosting local economies.
What's Next?
Refined Energy plans to continue evaluating the Dufferin West property using the new geological and geochemical data. The company may consider further exploration activities or partnerships to advance the project. Stakeholders, including investors and local communities, will be watching for updates on the company's next steps and any potential impacts on the uranium market.
