Essential skills required include fabrication, cutting, welding, bearing replacement, engine service/maintenance/adjustments for both gas and diesel engines, automotive electrical work, brake adjustment/repair, and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of related work experience, along with a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. The Mechanic may also provide backup to drivers in the Energy and Crops Departments.
