Lam Research Corp., a U.S. semiconductor equipment manufacturer, has commenced construction on a new advanced research and development laboratory in Tualatin, Oregon. This facility is part of a larger plan to invest over $3 billion in its global laboratory network

The new 120,000-square-foot facility, located in Oregon’s “Silicon Forest,” is expected to increase the cleanroom laboratory space at Lam Research’s Tualatin R&D center by more than 50%.
