What's Happening?
Airkey Envirotech has completed a USP 797 compliant cleanroom for a U.S. pharmacy, designed specifically for sterile compounding. The cleanroom spans approximately 61.5 square meters and features a multi-zone configuration with ISO 7 and ISO 8 classified
areas. This design ensures compliance with USP 797 standards, which govern sterile compounding environments in the U.S. The cleanroom is a free-standing structure, allowing for quick installation without extensive building modifications, and features large windows for visibility and natural light.
Why It's Important?
The development of this cleanroom underscores the increasing demand for compliance-ready, modular cleanroom solutions in the pharmaceutical industry. As regulations around sterile compounding become more stringent, facilities must adapt to ensure safety and compliance. This project demonstrates Airkey's ability to deliver high-quality, flexible solutions that meet U.S. standards, potentially setting a precedent for future pharmaceutical infrastructure projects. The ability to quickly install and relocate such facilities offers significant operational advantages, particularly for pharmacies facing space constraints or planning relocations.
