The FIU Public Humanities Lab is organizing an event titled 'Jazz in the Sanctuary' at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex on August 8th. The event will feature the Assel Jean-Pierre Trio, known for their dynamic blend of jazz, Haitian, gospel, classical,
and contemporary influences. The performance will be set against the backdrop of Woosler Delisfort's photography exhibition, 'SANCTUARY: Our Sacred Space,' which explores the spiritual origins of Miami's Indigenous, African, and Caribbean communities. The exhibition is supported by various organizations, including The Jorge M. Perez Family Foundation and the City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department.
