What's Happening?
GlobalM has announced the integration of its GMX software-defined media platform with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This collaboration aims to combine Oracle’s global cloud infrastructure with GlobalM’s technology for live media contribution, processing,
and distribution. The integration will allow GMX Cloud services to operate across OCI regions, providing broadcasters, sports organizations, and media companies with an expanded global footprint for live media workflows. GMX will create a software-defined media network on OCI, automatically deploying necessary compute, networking, media processing, and routing resources on demand. This dynamic deployment and scaling of infrastructure will enable efficient scheduling and consumption of OCI resources without manual configuration for each production. The system is designed to automatically release resources once services are completed.
