Deckorators, a leading innovator in outdoor living solutions and part of UFP Industries, Inc., has opened its first manufacturing plant in the Northeast, located in Lackawanna, New York. This new facility is a significant expansion for the company, adding
50 new full-time jobs and doubling the production capacity for its decking products, which utilize the proprietary Surestone technology. The Lackawanna plant, situated on a 30-acre site, includes a 253,310-square-foot facility with a 19,000-square-foot addition for increased capacity and an 85,000-square-foot on-site warehouse for future growth. The project was supported by various incentives, including up to $724,000 in performance-based tax credits from Empire State Development and $1.82 million in sales and property tax incentives from the Erie County Industrial Development Agency.
