The Garden Drive-In in Hunlock Creek successfully hosted its first-ever Paw-Palooza event on Saturday. The event, dedicated to pets and pet owners, featured approximately 50 vendors offering a variety of pet-related goods, including treats, toys, clothing,
and accessories. Beyond shopping, Paw-Palooza aimed to provide educational opportunities and facilitate pet adoptions. The SPCA participated, bringing adoptable animals, one of whom, Ophelia, a 9-month-old Lab mix, found a new home with Darcy Brocious, co-owner of the Garden Drive-In. Dana's Reptiles also presented an educational program, allowing attendees to interact with various reptiles and learn about their care and behavior. BJ Thompson of The Perfect Puppy Mobile Grooming offered on-site grooming services, highlighting the availability of local pet services.
