What's Happening?
SAP and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced an expanded Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) to make the SAP Business AI Platform more widely available globally. This five-year agreement will deploy SAP Business AI Platform's services and the SAP Business Data
Cloud to seven new AWS regions. These regions include key markets such as India, Japan, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Malaysia (ASEAN), Canada, and South Korea. The expansion aims to provide customers, particularly those in regulated industries and emerging markets, with enhanced performance, compliance, and innovation capabilities. The phased rollout of these deployments is set to begin in December 2026 and continue through 2028, allowing customers in previously underserved markets to access a majority of SAP's cloud solutions on AWS infrastructure. This initiative is designed to help organizations meet local data-residency, compliance, and performance requirements while leveraging their business data and AI.
