Marta Szlubowska, a Polish-American concert violinist, is actively pursuing her career as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. She previously served as the Concertmaster of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra from 2005 to 2022 and currently holds
the position of Concertmaster for the Monroe (LA) Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Szlubowska, a native of Warsaw, Poland, began her public performance career at the age of seven at the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall. She moved to the United States in 1983 on a full scholarship to study at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Bachelor of Music and an Artist’s Diploma. She furthered her education with a Master’s in Violin Performance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Throughout her career, Ms. Szlubowska has received numerous awards and prizes in both Europe and the USA, performing as a soloist with various orchestras including the Mississippi Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, and Tacoma Symphony. She has also participated in prestigious music festivals such as Tanglewood and Colorado Music Festivals and has performed under renowned conductors like Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa.
