What's Happening?
The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) has introduced the Global Port Integrity Platform (GPIP), a new initiative designed to transform decades of corruption reporting into actionable intelligence for the maritime industry. Supported by The Danish
Maritime Fund, this platform integrates over 70,000 reported incidents from more than 1,350 ports worldwide. GPIP offers a suite of tools that enable shipping companies to assess corruption risks, prepare crews before port arrivals, and embed corruption intelligence directly into their operational workflows. Over 75 organizations are currently utilizing the platform's dashboard tools, and more than 350 shipping companies receive corruption risk information through MACN's pre-arrival communication systems. This development moves the industry beyond reliance on professional judgment and local knowledge by providing structured, data-driven insights into corruption patterns and risks.
