Monumental Sports Network has partnered with DAZN to expand the in-market distribution of its direct-to-consumer offering, Monumental+, to users in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. This agreement allows fans another way to access
live game coverage, original programming, and local sports content, while Monumental Sports Network maintains its existing distribution channels. The deal is particularly significant because DAZN recently acquired ViewLift, a streaming-technology provider that has had a long-standing relationship with Monumental Sports Network. Ted Leonsis, Founder, Chairman, Managing Partner, and CEO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, previously served as ViewLift’s Founder and Chairman. This connection provides an early example of how DAZN's expanded technology strategy can integrate with its consumer platform, allowing Monumental to maintain its own branded product while also making it available through the DAZN ecosystem. Monumental Sports Network holds local television rights for the NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards, and WNBA’s Washington Mystics, among other sports content.
