What's Happening?
AIC Mines has announced significant findings from its resource definition drilling at the Jolly shoot within the Jericho copper deposit in northwest Queensland. The drilling revealed high-grade copper, gold, and silver, with notable intercepts including
9.2 meters at 3.20% copper, 1.30 grams per tonne gold, and 3.00 grams per tonne silver. These results are crucial for the development of the Jericho project, which is set to begin mining operations soon. The Jericho deposit is strategically located near AIC's Eloise copper mine and processing plant, with mineralization extending over a 5km strike length.
Why It's Important?
The high-grade results from the Jolly shoot are pivotal for AIC Mines as they enhance the resource base of the Jericho project, potentially increasing the project's economic viability. This development is significant for the mining industry, particularly in Queensland, as it could lead to increased copper production, supporting the region's economic growth. The findings also underscore the potential for further resource expansion, which could attract additional investment and development in the area.
