Award-winning actress and singer Lea Salonga is set to receive the 2,855th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 4th at 11:30 am PT at 6255 Hollywood Boulevard. This honor places her in the Live Performance category and marks her as the first
Filipina to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ming-Na Wen will join emcee Sibley Scoles at the ceremony. Following this recognition, Salonga will also be honored with the Icon Award at the third annual Manila International Film Festival’s (MIFF) Closing Night Awards Gala on September 6th at The Beverly Hilton. MIFF, a member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, nominated Salonga for the Walk of Fame. Salonga is also starring as the lead villain in DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming fantasy film 'Forgotten Island,' premiering September 26th.
