Silver Lake Partners, in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund and Affinity Partners, has completed the acquisition of Electronic Arts (EA) for approximately $55 billion. The deal, initially announced in September 2025, has received
all necessary regulatory approvals, including from the European Commission, despite EA not being a European company. The acquisition is set to be finalized on August 4, 2026, after the close of regular trading hours. Following the acquisition, EA will be delisted from the Nasdaq, transitioning to a privately held company. EA shareholders are expected to receive $210 per share in cash.
