What's Happening?
Peak Power has announced the commercial operation of a 3.6 MW / 7.2 MWh lithium-ion battery energy storage system at Vuteq Canada's manufacturing facility in Woodstock, Ontario. This project, owned and financed by Madison Energy Infrastructure, aims to reduce
peak electricity costs, enable participation in demand response programs, and support grid reliability during high-stress periods. The system is part of a broader $40 million expansion of Vuteq Canada's operations, which includes new injection molding machines, collaborative robotics, and AI-enabled manufacturing systems. Additionally, six Level 2 electric vehicle chargers have been installed through Canada's Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program, supporting workplace charging and broader transportation electrification.
