What's Happening?
Executives from Caliber, project partners, and community leaders gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony at 1801 Lincoln Ave., marking the start of construction for Hyatt Studios, a new extended-stay hotel in Steamboat Springs' west end. The hotel, developed
by Caliber under a master development agreement with Hyatt, is designed to cater to guests seeking longer stays. The property will feature 114 rooms equipped with kitchens, fitness and laundry facilities, and outdoor amenities. The hotel is expected to open in the second half of 2027.
Why It's Important?
The development of Hyatt Studios in Steamboat Springs is significant as it addresses the growing demand for extended-stay accommodations in the area. This project is expected to attract families, outdoor travelers, and business guests, thereby supporting local businesses and spreading visitor activity beyond the traditional mountain-base area. The hotel will also contribute to the local economy by creating jobs and generating additional sales and lodging tax revenue, which supports community services and amenities.
What's Next?
The construction of Hyatt Studios is set to continue, with the hotel expected to open in the second half of 2027. As the project progresses, Caliber will oversee ownership-level decisions and asset management, while a third-party company will manage hotel operations. The development is part of Caliber's strategy to launch 15 new Hyatt Studios properties across five states, including Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Louisiana.
