What's Happening?
Westar Resources has been awarded $55,689 from the Northern Territory Government's Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations program. The grant will fund an aeromagnetic survey at Westar's Bunda Creek Project, located in the Birrindudu Basin. This area is believed
to have potential for sediment-hosted copper or other base metal deposits. The survey will cover 569 square kilometers and aims to provide high-resolution data to better understand the basin's architecture, which is crucial for future drilling programs.
Why It's Important?
The grant from the Northern Territory Government underscores the importance of supporting exploration activities that could lead to significant mineral discoveries. For Westar Resources, this funding validates their exploration strategy and provides the necessary resources to advance their project. Successful exploration could lead to the discovery of new mineral deposits, boosting the local economy and creating jobs. Additionally, the data obtained from the survey could attract further investment in the region's mining sector.
