Elastic (NYSE: ESTC) has announced the nomination of Julia Liuson to its Board of Directors. Liuson is a veteran technology executive with over three decades of experience in software engineering, artificial intelligence (AI), developer platforms, and
enterprise technology. She previously served as President of Microsoft’s Developer Division, where she was responsible for the technology and business strategy of Microsoft’s developer tools and Azure developer platform. Her tenure also included work with GitHub, where she helped integrate AI into software development through GitHub Copilot. Elastic CEO Ash Kulkarni stated that Liuson's experience in helping developers transform major technology shifts into widely used products will be invaluable as Elastic aims to become a critical context layer for next-generation AI applications.
