L'Oréal has announced the appointment of Rahquel Purcell as the new Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for its North America division. Purcell, who has been with L'Oréal for over a decade, will
report directly to Alexis Perakis-Valat, CEO of L'Oréal USA and President of L'Oréal North America. She will also remain on the leadership team of Margaret Johnston-Clarke, L'Oréal's global diversity, equity and inclusion officer, and on the management committee of L'Oréal USA. Purcell has previously held roles such as Vice President of Operations and Chief Operations Officer, and most recently served as the Chief Transformation Officer. In her new role, she aims to leverage her experience to advance L'Oréal's culture and connect strategy, people, and execution to drive business growth. Purcell succeeds Liliahn Majeed, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
