What's Happening?
Holden Forests & Gardens has showcased the work of its summer interns, who have been involved in various environmental projects. The interns, including Mariah Jones, Adriana Valerio, and Gracie Bartley, have gained hands-on experience in fields such as horticulture,
conservation, and forestry. Mariah Jones, a Rzepka Horticulture Intern, has learned about equipment operations, landscape maintenance, and plant and pest identification. This experience has helped her validate her career interests and establish career goals. Other interns have worked on projects related to forest health, habitat restoration, and soil science, gaining valuable skills and insights into their respective fields.
