Aureka (ASX:AKA) has announced an extension of gold mineralization south of the main pit at its St Arnaud Comstock Project in Victoria, Australia, following recent diamond drilling. Diamond hole NED032 yielded significant results, including 4.4 meters
at 8.9 grams per tonne gold (Au) and 57.8 g/t silver from 102.8 meters, with a high-grade section of 0.3 meters at 65.3 g/t Au from 106.2 meters. A duplicate sample from this section returned an even higher 95.6 g/t Au. Additionally, shallow gold mineralization was found in the Walkers zone, consistent with historical drilling data from the 1980s and 1990s. These new intercepts are located immediately below the current pit surface, in an area previously subject to limited drilling. Managing Director James Gurry stated that these results reinforce the company's strategy for near-term, high-grade, low-tonnage production at Comstock, supported by a binding processing agreement with the nearby Wedderburn mill. The company plans to incorporate these results, along with 2025 Comstock diamond drilling data, into a future JORC mineral resource estimate review.
