What's Happening?
League One Volleyball (LOVB) Pro has announced a three-year extension of its partnership with Mikasa, designating Mikasa as the 'Official Ball of the LOVB Pro League.' This renewed agreement ensures that Mikasa will remain the exclusive match ball supplier
for the league. A key feature of this extended collaboration is the introduction of a custom LOVB-branded Mikasa V200W volleyball, which incorporates LOVB’s signature colors and branding. This custom ball will be used in all LOVB Pro League matches, connecting U.S. professional athletes with the same elite-performance ball used in international FIVB competitions. For the first time, fans will have the opportunity to purchase this custom LOVB-branded match ball online and at select DICK’S Sporting Goods locations. The new ball is scheduled to debut on December 16 in San Antonio at LOVB First Serve, coinciding with the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Convention and NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship.
Why It's Important?
This partnership extension is significant for the growth and professionalization of women's volleyball in the U.S. By aligning with Mikasa, a globally recognized brand in volleyball, LOVB Pro League reinforces its commitment to providing top-tier equipment for its athletes, mirroring international standards. The availability of a custom-branded match ball for fans creates a tangible connection between the league, its athletes, and its supporters, fostering greater engagement and merchandise sales. This initiative also helps to elevate the profile of professional volleyball in the U.S., making the sport more accessible and appealing to a broader audience. The collaboration aims to advance women’s professional volleyball by ensuring high-quality play and increasing the sport's visibility across various platforms, including broadcasts, digital content, and fan experiences.
