The North Dakota Game and Fish Department, in collaboration with local wildlife clubs and sponsors, is organizing the 19th Annual Youth Outdoor Festival on September 3, 2026. The event will take place at the Game and Fish Conservation and Outdoors Skills
Park on the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot. The festival aims to engage young outdoor enthusiasts in activities such as archery, fishing, and hunting. Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes and enjoy a complimentary barbeque. The event is designed to promote outdoor skills and conservation awareness among youth.
Why It's Important?
The Youth Outdoor Festival plays a crucial role in fostering a connection between young people and the natural environment. By providing hands-on experiences in outdoor activities, the festival encourages youth to develop an appreciation for wildlife and conservation. This engagement is vital for cultivating the next generation of conservationists and ensuring the sustainability of natural resources. The event also strengthens community ties by bringing together families, local organizations, and wildlife enthusiasts in a shared celebration of outdoor recreation.
