Facebook has launched Astryx, an open-source design system designed to be fully customizable and 'agent-ready,' meaning it's built for both human developers and AI assistants. Astryx, which has been developed and used internally at Meta for the past eight
years, is now available in Beta. It powers over 13,000 applications within Meta and offers more than 150 accessible components, brand-level theming, dark mode capabilities, ready-to-ship templates, and a Command Line Interface (CLI).
