Dwango, in collaboration with Nebula17, has announced a new EP titled 'BEYOND BORDERS Vol.1: EMERGE MODE MIKU' featuring the virtual singer Hatsune Miku. The announcement was made at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles. The EP will include collaborations with artists
such as Grimes, slayr, MOLIY, Odetari, George Clanton, Frost Children, and XAMIYA. The project aims to introduce Vocaloid music to a global audience, with Hatsune Miku as the lead vocalist across various genres including electronic, alternative, hyperpop, rap, and experimental music. The EP is supported by a team of Grammy-winning and platinum-selling producers and songwriters, including Grant Boutin, VADAKIN, MOMBRU, Byrd, Xansei, Charles 'Scoot' Anderson, and Cecile Believe. The release is scheduled for fall 2026, with singles expected to drop over the summer.
