What's Happening?
Cadeler has announced the addition of Wind Ace, its 11th offshore wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV), to its fleet. This vessel is the second of three A-class newbuilds constructed at the COSCO Shipping Offshore shipyard in Qidong, China. Delivered
on schedule and within budget, Wind Ace is set to be mobilized for deployment at ScottishPower Renewables' 960 MW East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm in the UK. The vessel is designed to handle both XXL monopile foundations and next-generation wind turbines, offering flexibility in installation scopes. Cadeler's CEO, Mikkel Gleerup, emphasized the importance of this addition in enhancing the company's capability to support complex offshore wind projects.
