Game Freak has released the first-ever prototype footage of Pokemon Pokopia, providing a glimpse into the game's early development stages. The footage reveals a different style from the final Nintendo Switch 2 title, highlighting the initial concepts
and design choices. Director Shigeru Ohmori shared insights into the prototyping process, which began after the completion of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. The early team consisted of three members, focusing on mechanics like grass growth and Pokemon appearances. The footage also shows differences in character interactions, such as talking to Tangela instead of Professor Tangrowth.
