What's Happening?
London Jewelers is marking its 100th anniversary by transforming a 63-carat natural rough diamond into a 20.26-carat D-color, flawless, old mine cushion-cut diamond. This transformation is part of the Origin De Beers Group program, which uses the Tracr
blockchain platform to trace the diamond's provenance, rarity, and history. The diamond will be shaped in Botswana by Grandview Klein Diamonds. The final weight of the diamond was chosen to match the current year, symbolizing the company's milestone. The diamond's journey from its origin to its final form will be documented, highlighting the craftsmanship and expertise involved.
Why It's Important?
This centennial celebration underscores London Jewelers' legacy of craftsmanship and innovation in the luxury retail sector. This event highlights the importance of heritage and innovation in maintaining a competitive edge in the luxury market.
