Naperville recently hosted its 16th annual 'Dancing with the Celebrities' competition, a signature fundraising event organized by the Career & Networking Center. Eight local notables took to the stage at the Aura Club & Conventions. Atusa Fryer, Owner
and Producer of THRIVEFest, and her partner Sevgi Alkan, were awarded the Judges’ Choice Award. Amanda McMillen, Executive Director of the Alive Center, and her partner Jake Diaz, secured the People’s Choice Award, based on audience votes. The event featured various dance styles, from country to musical numbers and 70s throwbacks, with participants learning routines from professional partners at I Just Wanna Dance and Arthur Murray dance studios. The competition serves to bring the community together and raise awareness and funds for the Career & Networking Center's work.
