What's Happening?
Giulia Roitman, a rising freshman at Greenwich High School, undertook a Capstone project at Central Middle School to address body image issues and boost self-esteem among her peers. Recognizing the impact of social media on body image, Giulia placed positive
message stickers in girls' bathrooms, with phrases like 'You look good today' and 'Smile, it looks good on you.' Her initiative aimed to provide a supportive message in a space where many young girls are often self-critical. The project received positive feedback from classmates, who reported feeling uplifted by the messages.
