Angela Baggetta has been named the new publisher of Columbia Global Reports (CGR), a nonprofit imprint of Columbia University focused on reportage. She will assume her role on September 8, succeeding Jaime Leifer, who left for Bloomsbury in March. Baggetta brings
nearly three decades of experience in book publishing, having previously run a literary publicity firm and held roles at Basic Books and Doubleday-Broadway. At CGR, she will lead strategic initiatives and oversee business operations and publicity. CGR, founded in 2015, commissions authors to produce novella-length works on diverse topics, including political violence and cultural movements. The imprint is known for its mission to publish short, factual, and timely books by leading writers in journalism and thought leadership.
