Lachlan Star, an Australian mining company, has commenced a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the New Waverley Gold Project. This initiative follows the identification of a shallow, high-grade gold system within the project area. The drilling program has been
expanded to approximately 4,000 meters, aiming to infill and extend previously reported mineralization. Notable findings include 6.15 meters at 8.60 grams per tonne gold from 46.9 meters, with sections yielding up to 21.50 grams per tonne. The New Waverley site shares geological characteristics with other significant deposits in the Norseman Goldfield, such as the North Royal and Harlequin mines. CEO Andrew Tyrrell emphasized the importance of this program in understanding the structural controls on mineralization and refining the geological model. The drilling will focus on known shoots down-plunge and evaluate additional targets within the mineralized shear corridor.
