Salesforce is shifting its strategy to allow users to access and interact with its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data and business processes directly within external collaboration tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Claude, and ChatGPT. This initiative,
termed 'Headless 360,' aims to make Salesforce functions available through APIs and Model Context Protocol tools, enabling other software to call customer data and business functions. The company has also introduced an Experience Layer to display these actions as interactive cards, approvals, and structured workflow steps within these external platforms. Salesforce's Chair, CEO, and Co-Founder, Marc Benioff, stated that the goal is for Salesforce to 'come to them' wherever employees choose to work, rather than requiring users to log into the CRM directly.
