Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, through its subsidiary Peninsula Pipeline Holdings, LLC, has announced the sale of a 49% ownership interest in the Florida Energy Pathway (FEP) project to NextEra Energy Resources (NEER). Peninsula Pipeline Holdings will
retain a 51% majority ownership. The FEP project is a natural gas transmission infrastructure initiative valued at approximately $1.2 billion, designed to enhance South Florida's energy supply. This 24-inch intrastate natural gas pipeline will extend from Palm Beach County to Miami-Dade County. The joint venture has engaged Chesapeake Utilities' subsidiary, Peninsula Pipeline Company, Inc., to manage the construction and operation of the project.
