Katherine Yale from Kalamazoo has been named Goodwill Industries International's Achiever of the Year for 2026. Yale overcame addiction and rebuilt her life with the support of Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan. She initially struggled to find
employment but found stability and growth through various roles at Goodwill. Despite setbacks, including a relapse, Yale received support from Goodwill, which held her position and provided resources for recovery. She now works as a recovery coach navigator, helping others overcome substance use disorder.
