Haas Automation is conducting a series of job fairs in preparation for the opening of its new 2.5 million-square-foot factory in Henderson, Nevada. The company, a manufacturer of machine tools, is actively recruiting for various positions including operators,
machinists, engineers, and assemblers. The job fairs are scheduled for September 19, October 3, and October 17 at Palace Station, with registration for the first event already full. According to Peter Zierhut, vice president of outside operations at Haas, the factory is on track to commence operations in the first quarter of 2027. The project, which involved the purchase of 279 acres of city-owned land for approximately $27.4 million and received $10.5 million in tax breaks, has faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated supply-chain issues and increased construction costs. The facility is located on Via Inspirada at Larson Lane, south of Henderson Executive Airport.
