What's Happening?
Xcel Energy has placed a follow-on order with Xos, Inc. for three Xos Hub™ mobile energy storage and charging systems. These units are intended to support fleet charging for various applications across Xcel Energy's Colorado sites. Two of the new units will
be deployed at Xcel Energy service centers to provide fast charging capabilities for the utility's electric vehicle (EV) fleet drivers in Arvada and Grand Junction. The third unit will be used in the Denver area to offer EV charging opportunities to Xcel Energy customers affected by special construction projects that temporarily disrupt their ability to charge at home. This order expands Xcel Energy's use of the Xos Hub, following an initial deployment of two units in 2024, which have already delivered approximately 33,000 kWh of charging in Colorado.
