Jon Hess, a Princeton University alumnus from the Class of 1998, has been named as one of eight inductees into the USA Lacrosse National Hall of Fame for the Class of 2026. The official induction ceremony is scheduled for January 9, 2027. Hess was a pivotal
player for Princeton's men's lacrosse team, contributing significantly to their three consecutive NCAA championships in 1996, 1997, and 1998. During his collegiate career, he was a three-time All-American and also helped Princeton secure four consecutive Ivy League championships from 1995 to 1998. In 1997, Hess received the Jack Turnbull Award as the national attacker of the year and was also recognized as the Ivy League's Player of the Year. After graduating, he played three seasons with the New Jersey Pride in Major League Lacrosse and earned a gold medal with the U.S. Men's U19 Team in 1996, where he was named the most outstanding player for setting a U.S. record of 23 assists and 38 points in the tournament. Hess is the 17th member of the Princeton men's lacrosse program to receive this honor.
