The Utah Mammoth has announced the signing of defenseman Zac Jones to a two-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $875,000 at the NHL level. Jones, who is 25 years old, had an impressive season with the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey
League (AHL), where he recorded 10 goals and 52 assists in 60 games. His performance earned him a spot on the AHL First All-Star Team and participation in the AHL All-Star Classic. Jones led all AHL skaters in assists, power-play assists, and power-play points, showcasing his offensive capabilities from the blue line. Prior to his professional career, Jones played two collegiate seasons at UMass, contributing to their first national championship win in 2020-21. He also represented Team USA at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship and won a bronze medal at the 2021 IIHF World Championship.
