Iberia Maintenance has announced the launch of IAG Engine Tech (IAG ET), a new engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) business. This initiative is part of Iberia's strategy to enhance its engine capabilities and expand its service offerings. IAG ET will
operate from Iberia's engine maintenance facilities in Madrid, focusing on CFM Leap engines. The new business will be led by Max Schramm, who previously managed Lufthansa Technik Canada. IAG ET aims to serve both the IAG Group airlines and third-party customers, with the first Leap engine shop visits scheduled for early 2027.
