What's Happening?
BN Strategic Metals has announced plans to develop an Ammonium Paratungstate (APT) processing plant in the California Rand Mining District. This initiative is part of the company's strategy to create a vertically integrated supply chain for tungsten in the United
States, centered around its flagship Atolia Tungsten Project. The new facility aims to support various U.S. industries, including advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, energy, and semiconductors, by providing a secure domestic supply of tungsten products. The project is supported by a S-K 1300 Technical Report Summary, which indicates the Atolia Tungsten Project contains over 40 million pounds of tungsten trioxide. Initial production from the facility is expected in the second half of 2027, contingent on permitting, financing, engineering, and construction milestones.

The establishment of a domestic APT processing plant is significant as the U.S. currently has limited capacity for mining and processing tungsten, relying heavily on foreign sources.
